New Record on the Radio

We've sent out a ton of CD's to radio stations around the US so if you'd like to hear the new record, please call or email your favorite station and request Levator's new album, The Biggest Waves Come At Night. If your favorite radio station did not receive a copy,... please let me know what station that is and I'll get one out to them right away. Thank you so much!

TBWCAN

Who can? TBW Can!!!!

We got the CD's back last night. We missed the driver because our apartment doesn't really have an intercom system so we drove out to Redmond. The streets in Redmond are huge and so are the buildings. I kind of felt like Alice in Wonderland. We arrived at the UPS station but our driver hadn't returned from his route yet so we headed over to the video game store and got some used video games. I don't know how the night could have gotten any better. Video games, new record, wine, Indiana Jones... It's amazing I woke up today, my heart could have exploded yesterday.

Off to the plant

The new record is in the mail! It is sent off and magically reproduces... it's like that episode of Star Trek when all those cute little furry things take over.

The Biggest Waves Come At Night

The new album is so close. We thought we were done but have found a few minor adjustments. Not a lot but... oooh. I'm so excited! I can barely stand it.

Autos

Cars are crazy. I think they might be the largest weapon that any person can freely purchase.

Unfortunately Chelsea Wolfe was in a car accident. Thankfully she is going to be okay, but she did suffer a couple cracked ribs and will be canceling her tour so she can stay home and rest. We're bummed, I set up this Sunday's show for her arrival in town and was really looking forward to seeing her again. But, we are still going to play the show! So come on down to the Comet at 5pm this Sunday and help us drink to a quick recovery for Chelsea.

Bass

Awe, I love playing bass. I thought for a second today that secretly deep down I would like to play bass for a rock and roll band.

I worked on Dream today... this song is getting really fun. It's weird some of the other ones are so close, like Eyes and Bruises... and then there's the ones that are just getting started. It's kind of like Spring love all over again!

Solo Acoustic Show

9/25/08

Thank you Matt Brown for the photo!

It was really fun to play a solo acoustic show. It was very different than what's been going on in my life. It was a fun challenge. I needed it. Thanks to David Lavin for inviting me.

And thanks to everyone that came out!!!! I really really appreciate it.

Change in Order

The order for the October 2nd show has changed a little bit. I'll be playing in the middle at around 11:15pm. My set is pretty short so get your drink on the way in! =)

We played The Clipper!

golden leaves and drizzle

Seems like Fall just arrived for the 5th time this Summer. This might be the real arrival though...

I haven't worked on the album all week, been working a lot. But later today when I take a break from working on tour, I'm going to put on my headphones and listen to the album so far as I sit in my Grama's old rocking chair and stare out the window at the trees.

Solo Shows...

These two solo shows coming up... They are going to be pretty wild for me. I've only played an acoustic show once before... and it was at a record store in Portland. Muy anos ago.
It reminds me how tough people are that play acoustic. I've really gotten kinda lazy. hahaha.. No, but standing in front of an amp at a certain angle to get a feedback tone that makes you giddy is a lot easier than holding a bar chord on an acoustic guitar.
And as for the keys solo party time. I think it's going to be pretty magical. I love the Rendezvous. That's where I had the very first Levator Cd release party... sigh. Shit, maybe I'll dig out the videos I made for that night! I love it when venues have a projector built in. But back to the Rendezvous. Anyone remember when you could go there and get a can of Lucky for $1.50? Anybody remember the old Belltown? hahahaha... got two words for you: Crack Park,... no no,, sorry- Dog Park.

Recording

The new record is really coming along... today I worked on Mocking Bird, Bruises, and Trampalene. Oh man, it's really starting to be disgusting.... making the drums as big as possible. I like that task.
